Here, ‘Brut’ really does mean ‘Brut’ – forget any preconceptions of there being a touch of sickly sweetness, as that’s only for the supermarket shelves. This has refreshing fruit, allied to bracing acidity, and wonderfully dry on the finish, just as you would expect from a glass of champagne. Prosecco that oozes class.
