A "Negociant Winemaker" is how we can defined Christian Patat, founder of Nec-Otium. For years he chose to vinify each wine in the range in the winery of the grape grower. All the wines are a perfect reflection of terroir where they grown to reveal the individual character of each wine.
Nec-Otium from the Romain work (nec) and leisure (otium) is a negociant based in Friuli founded by Christian Patat. Against convention, he simply sources grapes from the best location in Friuli and vinifies the wine in the cellar of the grower. His winemaking is clear, precise and is aim to preserve the individual character of each wines. As a result, a range of genius wines at bargain prices.
