Springtime, and the sun emerges from its winter confinement…cue bottles of Provençal rosé racing off shelves, it’s as if a switch has been flicked! The British wine-drinker cannot seem to get enough, and hardly surprising when winemaking techniques have improved so significantly (‘bleeding’ the delicate colour from the grape skins has to be done carefully). With all the pink success, easy to forget how good the whites and reds can also be, especially the juicy, herby warmth of the latter.
