Château Branaire Ducru
Château Branaire Ducru is producing some of the purest and most elegant wines of the appelation Saint-Julien, in the Médoc. If the "Grand Vin" is suptuous, the second vin Duluc Branaire is a gem, a blend of some of the best vineyard in the world, without breaking the bank.
Château Branaire Ducru is a fourth Cru Classé in Saint-Julien. It is located on the opposite side of the road from Beychevelle. It is owned by Patrick Maroteaux, an enthusiastic and ambitious winemaker who has put all his efforts into raising Branaire-Ducru to the very top. He first worked on the property as an employee with Philippe Dahlluin as a manager, who is now managing Mouton Rothschild. Elegance, finesse, with balance over power typify all the wines of the property, showing the wonderful terroir of Saint-Julien.
