Château Milens
There is long family history here, and they all like to make 'vin de plaisir'; wine that may be enjoyed young or after a bit of aging. For once, you don't have to wait 10 years to get the most out of a bottle of Bordeaux!
Valérie Martin’s father was a farmer and her grandfather a winegrower on the Left Bank. After spending 8 years with the Accor group in Bordeaux, she chose to return to her agricultural roots. The decision was made with her husband Ludovic who, as a wine merchant in Saint-Emilion, has a like-minded passion for wines. They run the property together with one very straightforward purpose: “to make very drinkable wines.” With the help of their technical director, Grégory Balestre, Ludovic and Valérie Martin took over the reins of this boutique 6.5-hectare estate in 2006.
